Introduction
All member breeders of this club must agree to be bound by our code of ethics, in the interest of doing our best by our dogs, our breed, and our sports.
Breeding Prerequisites
- I agree to breed no dog that has not been cleared by a veterinarian as sound, healthy, and safe to breed
- I agree to only breed Pomskies and their foundation breeds, including Siberian Huskies and Pomeranians
- I will not breed any female dog younger than 1 year, under any circumstances, regardless of veterinary opinion
- I will not breed any male dog younger than 8 months under any circumstances and not under 1 year without specific veterinary clearance.
Duty of Care
- I agree to do everything in my power to produce happy, healthy dogs with sound bodies and temperaments.
- I agree to listen to breed club or veterinarian recommendations for health testing and vaccination, and to share those recommendations and results with anyone who asks.
- I agree to do my best to learn & grow as a breeder by keeping up to date with canine scientific publications and resources.
- I agree to provide humane, appropriate care for my dogs, including meeting all their physical, mental, emotional, medical and nutritional needs.
- I agree to make my best effort to find & place my puppies into fit & appropriate homes where they will receive equal love, care and affection.
- I will not allow any dog in my breed program to be euthanized or sent to a shelter after retirement.
Conditions of Sale
- In the event that one of my puppies is unable to stay in their original home, I will ensure that they return to me or are placed in a new responsible home.
- I agree to give my puppy buyers a health guarantee of no less than one year, which includes a full refund (minus deposit) or replacement.
- I will discuss conditions under which any refund or replacement would be given, directly with the buyers.
- I will strongly recommend or require that all puppy buyers have their puppy examined, by a veterinarian of their choosing, within 48 hours of arriving home as a precautionary measure.
Membership Conduct
- Any defamation or slander against other breeders, members or non-members may result in my membership being voided. If I have concerns about another breeder’s practices, I will raise them with the Pomsky Kennel Club directly.
- Any fraudulent activity including misrepresentation of facts, alteration & forgery of documentation or general submission of false or misleading information by any member may result in the membership being voided.
- Any intervention or conviction pertaining to abuse/neglect of any animal will immediately void my membership in this club.
- I agree that these terms are subject to change at any time, without notice and that it is my responsibility to keep up to date with any changes.
